Following my Bachelor's degree in Art History from University of Colorado, I pursued careers in art and marketing. I later chose to return to school for my Master's degree in Counseling at Regis University, where I graduated with high honors. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Colorado and have been in private practice since 2004. I am an Affiliate Faculty member at Regis University in their School for Professional Studies. Additionally, I have completed both Level I and Level II EMDR training plus additional requirements for Certification as an EMDR Therapist and an EMDR Approved Consultant. Other areas of training include Divorce and Child Custody Mediation, the Shared Parenting Support Program, Parenting Coordination/Decision Making, and Child and Family Investigation.
I am committed to continuing education in the areas of my specialties, as the field of psychology is rapidly changing with new developments in research and education. As a result, I regularly attend seminars on a variety of mental health and psychology topics such as anxiety, trauma, relationships, divorce, parenting, and the neurobiology of psychotherapy (which is a topic that is endlessly fascinating to me.) Furthermore, I participate actively in a number of associations related to my areas of specialty.
