Parenting Plan Consultation
I have extensive training in the area of high conflict divorce, including Divorce and Child Custody Mediation, Parenting Coordination/Decision Making, and Child and Family Investigation. My area of specialty within the divorce services arena is working with divorcing parents to help them in a collaborative fashion to learn how to co-parent effectively and make peace with the end of their marital relationship. Therefore, the divorce services I provide are the following:
Shared Parenting Support Program
I provide the Shared Parenting Support Program (SPSP) to divorcing and divorced parents throughout the South Metro Denver area. SPSP is a program designed to teach co-parents the tools to communicate effectively and productively about issues surrounding their children. The program is scheduled with both parents and their respective spouses to meet with me for approximately ten to twelve, one hour sessions. SPSP involves dialogue about the unique circumstances of the family and children, and coaching from me about effective means of communication. Additionally, participants are guided by me through the work contained in SPSP notebooks outlining and detailing the format for parent meetings addressing a variety of parenting, behavioral, academic and logistic communication topics. For further information on this program, please contact Tamra Hughes, MA, LPC at 303-221-1272, and visit the Shared Parenting Support Program website at http://shared-parenting.com/.
Divorce Coach
Providing coaching services for couples who are in the process of divorcing or are planning to divorce. As a divorce coach, I these couples explore options for managing the divorce process, find peace in the end of the relationship, and consider co-parenting options for the children of the marriage. For couples who are appropriate for this process, divorce coaching can be a helpful means for establishing a divorce relationship that is both collaborative and amicable.
